A historic seaside estate
The history of Tenuta Le Marze is deeply rooted in the Maremma and its historic families. Originally, the estate was established as a hunting estate of the Chigi family, used as a base during hunting expeditions in the vast coastal pinewood.
The property is made up of three historic buildings, which have partly retained their original names:
- Casa Rosa, the original nucleus of the estate, built as a hunting lodge with typical rural Maremma architecture and an adjoining stable;
- La Grande Bianca, an imposing villa built at a later stage and overlooking the sea, reflecting the noble status of the family;
- La Cappellina, the family’s former private chapel, intended for the owners’ reserved worship.
Over time, each building has been carefully restored and reinterpreted, preserving its original architectural character while adapting it to the needs of contemporary hospitality.

Arriving at Tenuta Le Marze is part of the experience. A path winding through the pinewood gently leads you towards the estate, surrounded by the scent of resin, silence and the sea breeze.
The entire property is fully fenced and reserved for guests, ensuring privacy and tranquillity. The beach, natural and unspoilt, can be reached in just a few steps directly from the estate and is also ideal for families with children, thanks to its fine sand and gently sloping seabed.
